Jennifer grew up in rural Hants County and now lives in Hardwood Lands with her husband and their daughter Julia. After completing a 4 year bachelors degree in Sociology and Psychology at St. FX University, Jennifer went on to complete her diploma in Early Childhood Education at the Institute for Human Services Education in 2005 giving her a Level 3 ECE.

Jennifer has had experience in various early childhood settings over the years including the Sackville Bedford Developmental Centre with children of various and diverse needs; The early childhood resource centre, and NSCECE Lab school as both an infant educator and then assistant director. Jennifer has been with Elmwood Child Care Centre for over 11 years and has held the role of assistant director since 2019 and completed the early Childhood Leadership Training program through NSCC in 2023.

When not driving her daughter to dance classes Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and being close to home working in her yard and gardens.
