Krista has been a part of the Friends for Life family since 2006. She's a graduate of Mount Saint Vincent University with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Child and Youth Studies (2002), Level 3 ECE, a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Family Studies & Gerontology (2004) and a Certificate in Community Residential Services (2004).
Krista has been working in Early Childhood Education since her graduation, including time at Friends For Life (2006-2009) where she held roles of both Teacher and Assistant Director. She has facilitated courses at the Nova Scotia Center for Early Childhood Education and volunteered with her children’s schools as a member of the School Advisory Council, President of the Home and School, lunch monitor, Pre-Primary Support and Educational Personal Assistant.
She is a champion of self-directed, play based curriculum and providing children the tools to work on their self-regulation skills. Krista resides in Dartmouth with her family, where they have been welcoming international students since 2010.
